March 23, 2004 - Menova Engineering Inc. Introduces the Power-Spar®

              Solar Heat, Hot Water and Electricity for Everyday and Emergency Use

              OTTAWA, ON, March 23 /CNW/ - Finally, a sustainable solution for the
          escalating energy costs of space heating, hot water and electricity, for your
          home or business!

              The Power-Spar(R) is a high efficiency solar concentrator that uses a
          patented system to focus the sun's energy creating heat, hot water and
          electrical power for everyday and emergency use. "The Power-Spar(R) has been
          specifically engineered to provide enhanced performance even when exposed to
          extreme winter temperatures", states Dave Gerwing, President of Menova
          Engineering.

              Canadian-made in Ottawa, Ontario, the Power-Spar(R) is up to 25% more
          efficient at supplying heat in the winter months than single-glazed solar
          thermal panels. There is a less than 5-year payback when calculated with
          propane or electricity as a base heating fuel projected at a 10% increase in
          cost per year.

              Key benefits of the Power-Spar(R) system are:
              ---------------------------------------------

              1. Produces "green" zero-emission heat and electricity;
              2. Provides immunity from rising energy costs, since the price of energy
                 from the sun will not escalate with time;
              3. Amortized energy costs are about 50% of what consumers now pay for
                 propane or electric heat;
              4. A reliable and independent system, that assists your home or business
                 to function without interruption during power shortage, high cost peak
                 demand, or blackouts.

              The Power Spar(R) will be launched in Toronto at the CMX Show, Booth
          #1940, March 25-27, 2004 at Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and
          in Ottawa at The Country Homes & Cottage Show, Booth #527,
          April 2-4, 2004 at Lansdowne Park.

              Menova Engineering has designed and commercialized the Power-Spar(R).
          Menova is a engineering and product development company that has supplied
          world class analysis and design for companies such as Ontario Power Generation

          Equipped with the engineering knowledge, and a concern for the environment,
          the developers of the Power-Spar(R) are focused on supplying reliable and cost-
          effective renewable energy products.

Ontario consumers facing higher gas bills
A rush of cold air could wash over Ontario this fall when residents get their first glimpse at natural gas bills that include higher prices which went into effect on Canada Day.
Consumers will face gas bills that are as much as 45% higher than what they're used to paying, depending on where they live, and that could convince many to sign energy contracts to cut their costs. full story>>>
